It all began with a simple idea fuelled by a deep passion.
The first recipe made was the Tomato Relish which has become our Signature Product.
As a small business, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence.
Made in Sandra's Kitchen is in memory of my late wife Sandra, who backed this idea and pushed me to make it a success.
When in season, we use most ingredients grown by ourselves in our greenhouse and allotment.
Our Relish and Chutneys are sealed using the water bath canning method giving them a shelf life of 6-12 months unopened, and when stored properly.
All our Relish and Chutneys have been tried and tested by a panel of testers, with their comments and suggestions taken onboard, positive and negative, to enable us to produce a excellent final product.
Relish & Chutney
So what is the difference?
Chutney is a savory condiment made of slow-cooked fruits or vegetables, vinegar, and spices, resulting in a chunky but spreadable texture.
Relish is a cooked and pickled mixture of vegetables or fruits with a short cooking time, producing a crunchy texture and piquant, fresh flavor.
Both can be sweet and savory, and the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, but they have distinct differences.
